    Unanswered: Can a tab event trigger?

    There are 5 tab controls on my form and
    I am trying to trigger an event when tab 3 is selected.
    I am getting mismatched or other errors.
    When I switch either to a differnet record or tab
    the txt will go back to unvisible

    Private Sub TabCtl_Change()
    If tabE.OnClick = True Then
    txtmessage.Visible = True
    txtmesage.Value = False

    End If
    End Sub

    What is it that you're trying to do here exactly? OnClick doesn't return a boolean value, so I'm curious what you're REALLY trying to trap.
    oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

    Tab event

    When using a tab control, use the OnChange event (which you have) and the page index # to capture which tab they selected.

    Private Sub TabCtl0_Change()
    Select Case Me!TabCtl0
    Case 0
    MsgBox "You clicked tab 0."
    Case 1
    MsgBox "You clicked tab 1."
    Case 2
    MsgBox "You clicked tab 2."
    End Select
    End Sub
