    Exclamation Unanswered: Automating a form.

I tried to search but did not find any answers. I have a form that is accessed every day in the morning and with a press of a button executes updates for the database. Is there a way to automate this within Windows so it is launched by itself (scheduled task...) and the confirmation sent to the user when completed with the status?

To make code automatically execute, place a call to the procedure in the On_Open Event.

To make a Form automatically execute, make that form the Start_Up form (under the Tools menu of the main DB window).

To run the DB, use a batch file.

To run the batch file, make it a scheduled task in Window.

    Task runs batch.
    Batch opens DB.
    DB opens fors as Startup.
    Open Event triggers code.

For the status to user, I typically have an activity table that logs the timestamp the procedure was run and some sort of text to describe the results. Anybody who needs to see the status has a link to that table.

    Thumbs up Thank you.

Excellent. Thank you very much. I will try this and see what happens.
