    Unanswered: how can I turn off Standard OutPut when I use INSERT INTO command in my application.

    I am working with db2v8.2.2 aix5.2

    I my application (perl language) I use db2 "INSERT INTO........."

    and I am going to insert 30000 rows and for every row I get message "SUCCESSFULL........" in screen, how can I turnoff that.

    One option is to redirect the output to /dev/null

    Well, honestly, I haven't used Perl ... So, am unable to be of much help ...

    Do you use DBI module to 'talk' with DB2 or do you do as a command line ?

    Can you post an example piece of code you are trying to execute ? It will be useful if you can post a small program that can be run on its own ..
