Unanswered: Connecting to outside database(SQLServer) and getting data into Sybase in Peoplesoft

    Hi all,

We are using Peopletools 8.45 and using peoplesoft financials 8.4. I
    want to find out

How do you connect to an outside Database server(SQLServer) and then
read the data from that database and compare with the one on our
database which is (Sybase). Can we do this using JDBC and if yes, please
help me out how you do this.

    Thanks in advance.
    Sutea.

You can use the jTDS driver that comes as part of the installation. jTDS works with both Sybase and SQL Server.

    Samplecode

Thanks for the reply. Actually I'm more into peoplesoft and have less knowledge about using database servers. Can you please give me some sample code like, how you connect to sqlserver and how you get the data. I appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Sutea.
