    Unanswered: Table Caching in UDB 8.1 - How

    Is there a manual or red book that explains how to cache a table in UDB LUW;

    I have a table that is read only (most cases) and I would like all queries to go agains the cached table than doing unecessary I/O's.

    Any pointers would be much appreciated.

    You can eliminate physical I/O on any table if you make sure the associated tablespace is assinged to a bufferpool that is at least as large as all the objects in the tablespace. Obviously if you assign other tablespaces to the same bufferpool, you will need to take that into consideration.
