Unanswered: Cannot run a 64-bit program on a 32-bit machine?

    Hi All,
I have an old AIX box running AIX/5.2L. The hardware only supports 32-bit. I just installed Oracle 9i. When I tried to start sqlplus, I got error below:

    Code:

    0509-032 Cannot run a 64-bit program on a 32-bit machine.
Is there an 32-bit version of Oracle I can install on my AIX box?
    Thanks for advice.

Did you tried this version ? Dont know if it will work or not, but should try it. Download the first file and read the readme inside it. It should says wether it supports or not 32-bit systems.

The link you provided may help me. I downloaded it, but readme files don't clearly say whether the version supports 32-bit or 64-bit. I will install it and see what will happen. Thanks.
