Unanswered: DB2 Connect changing drivers and physical log file

    Database product name : DB2
    Database product version : DSN07011
JDBC driver name : IBM DB2 JDBC Universal Driver Architecture
    JDBC driver version : 2.3.63
    JDBC driver type : 4

How can you change and check the physical log size setting for DB2?
How would you change the driver from type 4 to type 2 when using DB2 Connect?

Answer to Qsn1> db2 "GET DB CFG" | grep 'LOGFILSZ'

Answer to Qsn2> In the WAS console in datasource tab where you specify the DATABASE name, there you will find CUSTOM properties, where I think you should find the option to specify the type2/type4 driver.

For Q1, IIRC, you will have to get the information from BSDS to know the name of the log files ... there is a standalone utility (DSNTIUJ, I think .. I may be wrong) to print the BSDS information.

The size again, you'll have to get using ZOS facilities or from DB2ZPARMs. I don't think there is a SQL Interface to get this information, yet!

On ZOS, leave the log file settings to your SYSADM... If you have concerns, raise it with him/her ...

It is more complex than the LUW 'update db cfg ... '
