    Unanswered: drop , insert

    hi,

1.) Would like to drop all tables in one shot in ms access.

2.) Would like to insert data from multiple tables(all of same format), to a single table, in a single query

    Thanks

    Hi

    1) is not possible. You would have to loop though something* and drop them one by one. If there is nothing else in the database then you could just delete the file and create a new, fresh one.

    2) You'll need to use a UNION query to create a derived table which would be the source of your INSERT. Check out UNION in help.

*e.g. DAO Tabledefs collection, a recordset of table names pulled from MsysObjects etc.
