    Unanswered: alter table

    Hi all

    what wud be an equivalent statement in sybase to
    ALTER TABLE CALENDAR CHECK CONSTRAINT ALL

    the above statement works in sqlserver..

    What does "check constraint all" mean in SQL Server ?

    Hi Micheal,
    I am trying to disable the constraints before dumping data in a table and then trying to enable all the constraints on a table after dumping it.
    So "check constraint all" means enable all constraints.

    Hmm - I could be wrong, but I don't think that there is any way of disabling the constraints short of dropping them, so consequently there is no way to enable them either (other than reloading/recreating the constraints, of course).
