    Is the process I am running deadlocking with Exchange Server?

    I would doubt it. SQL Server and Exchange do not talk to each other, unless you tell them to. More likely it is some classification of the deadlock. Are you getting these often?

    Look up trace flag 1204 in BOL You can probably set it on while SQL Server is up by running:

    dbcc set traceon (1204, -1)

    Try to increase 'cost threshold for parallelism' option with sp_configure.
    If doesn't work then disable the parallelism in SQL to work.
