Unanswered: msaccess vba error "This property is read-only and can't be set."

I have written code attached to a command button on a form (frmPayments)which
    1. opens a new form (frmReceipt)
    2. It then passes fields from the current form (frmPayments) and its subform to frmReceipt (via openargs)
    3. frmReceipt populates its fields using the contents of its openargs property.
    4. Since frmReceipt exists for printing purposes only it is not bound to any table. However, after the code attached to frmReceipt has successfully (!)executed, I get an message saying "This property is read-only and can't be set."
What property might Access be trying to (automatically) update? and how can I suppress the error message? (There isn't a reserved word issue - I have prefixed all my controls and variables) I'd really appreciate any assistance. Would it help if I sent the code?

    Solution

I closed the Payments form and its subform and this seems to have stopped the error message - I would love to know why though?
