    Unanswered: Concatenate text and varcharfield.

I have a text-field in a tablerecord and a varchar(255)-field. The varcharfield should be placed at the end of the text-field and the result should be written back in the table it came from.

The Sybooks tell me that concatenating textfields isn't possible. Is there anyone that has cornered this kind of problem before? It doesn't matter how it work, as long as I can get it to work.

The simple solution: write a small perl (or shell, tcl, php) script that pulls both items from the db, does the concatenation, and stores the result back in to the database...
