Thumbs up Unanswered: Pass through query Cnn String

    Good afternoon ladies,

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can set up multiple connection strings for the same pass through query? I would like to use a SQL server table and an ORACLE table in the same PT query. Is that possible or am I looking at creating two queries then joining them with a third?

I've never heard of being able to use more than one connection for the same query. I imagine you would be limited by the connection method you choose. ADO doesn't natively support simultaneously martialing two connections for the same recordset ... not sure about other methods.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

I tried to append the second string to the first and then give the second dB and explicit reference like:

    db.tablename@hostadress

But that did not work. I have to imagine that there is a way to do this. Otherwise you could not query two schemas of the same database type.
