My Project (windows based) makes calls to Mainframe CICS screens to retrive some data. SNA Gateway was being used so far as Middleware. Application Interface is developed in VB to make calls and retrieve data.
Now we need to make use of Db2 Connect in place of SNA Gateway.
The very basic requirement which is critical is to convert existing CICS to Db2 Stored procedures.
While reading documentation on Db2 Connect i found that Db2 Stored Procedures can make calls to CICS directly. So what i thought is , would it be better to write Db2 Stored procedures to just invoke the CICS modules and somehow pass the data back to Windows environment.
Looking out for some code examples where Db2 Stored procedure is invoking CICS and getting the data back.
