    Unanswered: Not able to start sybase

    I installed ASE 15(Express edition) on Suse linux 10 last night and when I tried starting Sybase, i get following msgs in errorlog

    00:00000:00000:2006/05/03 16:26:00.49 kernel There is no valid license for ASE server product. Installation date is not found or installation grace period has expired. Server will not boot.

    Can somebody plz help me in this regard ?

    first set the environment variables
    from the sybase home dir in ksh execute
    . ./SYBASE.sh # dot spase dot
    or if you are using csh
    source ./SYBASE.csh

    then
    cd $SYBASE/$SYBASE_ASE/install
    startserver -f RUN_DEEP
