    Thanks ebrian
That's good information. However, I don't know yet how to log into OMS!
Can anybody help me with that? I don't know which login information can be used for OMS.

I tried to login using username: sysman and password: oem_temp and I specificed the management server as localhost because I'm running Oracle DB on my local machine. However, I got this error message:
Unable to connect to the management server ....

    HSN,
The OMS repository must be created prior to being able to launch OEM and connect to the OMS. This provides some information about creating and configuring the repository (Configuring and Controlling the Management Server).

You can still connect to OEM as standalone if you don't want to use the OMS (Standalone).

I have successfully installed the repository needed to launch OEM. However, I do not undrestand the reason behind this. Why do I need this repository?

You would use the OMS if you want to use events, jobs, sharing of administrative data, blackouts, groups, enhanced notifications, historical collections, and have the ability to run applications in a web browser.
