    Try mysqldump. For example,
    mysqldump -u root databasename > aRatherLargeFile.sql
. This will dump SQL code for the table creation and so on, and all the INSERTs required to populate the tables. You can restore from this dump on the server machine by simply reversing the procedure:
    mysql -u root databasename < aRatherLargeFile.sql
Possibly you will have to edit the file to add "CREATE DATABASE yourDB;" and stuff like that. There are also backup tools, but I have never used them, so I can't recommend anything

    Hope it helps!
