Unanswered: SQLLDR problems with COBOL files (was "hello")

I work with Oracle 9i. I frequently must troubleshoot sqlldr problems. Lately, the most frequent error has been packed decimal invalid nibble related. Not sure if the root of the problem is the file transfer process or the sqlldr .ctl file or the version of sqlldr that is being used. I'm looking for the magic code to load my COBOL data correctly and error free every time.

As this is a much more technical than a "Hello, world" kind of post, I'm going to move it from the New Users and Introductions forum into the Oracle forum. I'd imagine that several of the folks there might be able to help you with this question!
