Unanswered: How to find sybase is installed on a system

How can we say Sybase is installed on a machine(UNIX)?
    (tell me all the possibilities)
what are the background processes/ instances running?
for ex: PMON,SMON proceses for Oracle

    Thanks in advance,
    Uday

    Uday,
If you are looking for the Sybase Client, its usually installed by the SAs in /opt/sybase directory. You can also check the PATH variable for the same.
    Cheers.
