    Unanswered: Oracle 'Type' in DB2?

    Hi all,

We have an object 'TYPE' in Oracle that can be declared and defined in the Oracle database and can be used in the Database programs.

Is there anything similar to that in DB2.

    with thanks n regards.

I do checked the CREATE TYPE in the DB2 SQL Reference Vol 2, but its some thing like structured datatype. What i am looking for is like OBJECT

ie.. the Oracle TYPE can have data and member functions to access the data with in them. can anyone help me in identifying the same in DB2.

    thanks in advance,
    Sn
