    Unanswered: DataAccess/Updates in multi databases

    Dear All,
I have 2 databases siting on the same DB server.
I need to update both in a transaction or nothing at all.
How can I put 2 ado connections in a single transaction?

Anyone has any ideas at all?

    The database is MSSQL.
The problem is each connection to the database in VB maintains its' own transaction (begin and commit trans).

You need to use the Distributed Transcation Coordinator (DTC).

Search on BOL for "DTC" - never needed to use this yet myself...

    Thanks Wiseman82.
Figured I needed that but thought I can get away without using DTC.
