Unanswered: web service + postgres stored procedure error

I have an web service with some functions that calls some postgresql
    stored procedures ...
when I click the invoke button the following error mesage appears :

    Cannot convert 18/05/2006 to System.DateTime.
Parameter name: type --> String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.

I don't know why it appears because in both web service and postgresql stored procedure the field is declared as data

PostgreSQL's date formatting is probably not set to match your regional settings.

Either change the regional date settings in the PG server, or format your date so that it is unequivocal. DD-MMM-YYYY, for instance.

Ref Chapter 21 in the pg documention.
