    Extracting Field Data for a Report

    Hi All;

    I have a Microsoft Access inventory table which lists multiple categorized items for each vendor...for example...vendor 1...item no. = 1111111; item description = widget; item category = tool. Each vendor may have items for more than one category...i.e tools and say belts. For each vendor I want to extract all those fields containing a specific category...for me all the tools for vendor 1 but not me all the belts for vendor 2 but not the tools. Ultimately I want to be able to extract a list of all the vendors whos category is tools and create a report for it. I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help.

    It makes sense to me. These all sound like simple queries. Feel free to post in the Microsoft Access forum if you'd like suggestions with them.
