    Unanswered: oracle autobackup script through windows server

    Customize script for autobackup on the windows server:

    I tried to put the following into a script file called "backup.bat" under
    windows 2000 or 2003 server by using "scheduled task" under control panel. How come it doesn't work to put the
    following script. Indeed, I then want to schedule ie. 11:00 p.m. Pacific time for this script to execute the
    the following

    Please instruct!

    The script as follows seems not fine to run
    1. should I paste the following script and rename it as "backup.bat"
    2. On the Scheduled task, i then schedule this "backup.bat" run on 11:00pm. but it seems doesn't work
    3. I don't want any cold close immediate for the database. I guess the scripts following missing something
    Please see

    Script content want to run auto scheduling:
    __________________________________________________ _
    rman target sys/password nocatalog
    rman>run{
    allocate channel c1 type disk1;
    backup current controlfile format 'c:\backups\%U';
    release channel c1;
    }

    rman>run{
    allocate channel c1 type disk1;
    backup archivelog all delete input format 'c:\backups\%U';
    release channel c1;
    }

    You say it doesn't run, are you getting an error or is there an error listed in the event viewer?

    Does the script run fine if you run it manually?

    >yes if excutive in command basis

    But I want a full version of customized script that saved it
    as "backup.bat" and schedule through scheduler task of windows OS
    And I do not want shutdown immediate database as well.
    Once I scheduled ie. 11:30 p..m. everynight, i then do not want to
    shutdown the database immediate . Any full intact good script to try.
    backup include : archivelog,controlfile,datafile.

    To dick:
    I tried set oracle_sid and oracle_home already.

    thanks
