    Unanswered: Enable Command Buttons

    Hi All,
    I have a db is acc2000 that has several command buttons that I have disabled in properties. I want to be able to enable the command buttons via password. The db is password protected but there are times that I am away from the desk and forget to close the db so I want those particular command buttons protected at the least.

    Could I get some help on this one.

    Thanks
    Mike

    perhaps,

    you can add one more command button that will disable all the others.
    and another one behind it that will enable them again
    public passwordtrue as boolean

    private sub cmdlocker_click()
    passwordtrue = false
    cmd1.enabled = false
    cmd2.enabled = false
    ...

    cmdunlocker.visible = true
    cmdunlocker.setfocus
    cmdunlocker.enabled = true
    cmdlocker.visible = false

    end sub

    private sub cmdunlocker_click()

    docmd.openform frmpassword

    if passwordtrue = true then
    cmd1.enabled = true
    cmd2.enabled = true
    ...

    end sub

    just make on more random lousy table where you can place the password
    and create a form that will check the password

    hope you get the idea

    it's pretty dirty, but my middle name is patcheminlikelego
