Unanswered: DB2 connections
I want to log all database's accesses in DB2. All: the successfully connections as well as the restricted connections. I want to see, which users try to connect to a db2 database. Where can I find/catch these information?
To track the applications which got connected to your database over a particular period of the time (few hours) you can use the db2 event monitor:
see the syntax from the command reference:
(CREATE EVENT MONITOR--event-monitor-name--FOR---------------->
To see the connections at any particular moment,:
db2 "list applications show detail" . This will list all the connections active at that moment.
If you want to track the connections for a much longer period: Then avoid using event monitor and try using db2audit tool with configuration : "VALIDATE"
(see the syntax how to use db2audit in db2 information center).

Can I see all tried connections? All, also the denied ones...
yes the db2audit utility will show you both successful/failed connection alongwith the user_id and application details.
