    welcome to dBforums

Welcome to dbForums, we hope you like the place and it can help you with your database related questions, we hope in time you will be able to join others in this community and provide answers to others.

This thread is meant to be a place for new members to announce themsleves to other members. If you have a specific problem you want answering then its probably best to select a more appropriate place within the dbforums site.

Its not a problem if you mispost, the question can, and usually will be redirected to the more appropriate section.

Above all welcome to the forum, and we hope it can help you to help others.

In order for the contributors to the forum to provide help and assistance it helps if you understand what dBforums is about.

This posting from the Access thread is a good grounding on what you need to do to get the best from dbForums. Posts 3 & 4 are well worth reading if you want to get quick assistance on resolving your problems.

The key thing to remember is that you need to post your question in the appropriate forum. There is no point asking, say a DB2 specific question in the general SQL section. Another point to bear in mind is that the general SQL section is for general SQL questions, not Microsoft's SQL Server. Also please don't post the same question in several threads concurrently - its fine to do so if you haven't got a response after, say a cople of days, but its plain bad manners to do so concurrently. If you think you need to post the same question in more than one thread then you probably need to rethink your question.

    HTH (hope that helps)

Hello all, I am doing some research on migrating SP from Cybase to DB2 on ISeries, what would be the appropriate approach?
