Unanswered: SQL INTO password protected database

    I have two databases (mdb's).

First has table that is changed periodically.

It has to be copied into another database.

    SQL is something like this:

    "SELECT * INTO newtable_" & datetimebasednumber & " IN seconddatabase.mdb FROM initialtable;"

The problem is that - the second table is to be password protected.

Is there a possibility to pass the password with / to the SQL statement?

    Not that I know of.

However - is your first db password protected? If not then you could pull the data from your password protected db rather than push it from the source.

As Poots said, No Way Jose ... UserIDs and Passwords are set and used at the Connection level ... Not in the query itself ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
