Post Unanswered: Archiving from 1 table to another

I need to archive data from 1 table to another in the same database, based on a date range. Once the data is archived I need it to drop those items from the first (main table) to reduce entries in the main table.

here's the catch, the ID numbers are random, and the database uses 3 replicas to add data into one main database.

Is there a way to make this whole process easier?

I think these articles may detail how to complete the task, as they look to be archiving based on a date field.

Let me know how you go on.
