Unanswered: error in getting metadata from postgresql through JDBC

    Hi

I am trying to fetch the metadata from PostgreSQL through the JDBC driver
using the getMetaData() method of java.sql.ResultSet.

But i am getting the following error and the metadata is not fetched.
Error : column a.oid does not exist

I have tested it on PostgreSQL 8.1.4 using the following JDBC drivers

    pg74.216.jdbc3.jar , 8.0-317 JDBC 3 , 8.1-407 JDBC 3

    from http://jdbc.postgresql.org/index.html

The issue seems to be with the JDBC drivers .

Please let me know how to resolve it and fetch the metadata .

    thanks in advance,
    kumar

If you do want to use the JDBC api, please show us the code that causes the error, otherwise it will be very hard to help you
