Unanswered: Form & Subform Splitting Data

I have a form with a subform. I want to enter info into both the form
and subform and it save to a table as one record. At this time it is
splitting the info into two records; the data for the main form and the
data for the subform. Is there anyway to get the two to stay as one
    record per each save?

why would you want to use a subform to collect data for a single record that is controlled by the parent form?

The design doesn't really make sense to me.

traditionally the parent form holds the parent record, thre sub forms either contain recrods for tables using the parent record as the fk. if its all the same record then it should all be in the same form. mebbe it should be regarded as a limitation of Access, but thats the way access does it.

What are you trying to do?
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

I have a table with say 10 records. i have three fields (name, accnt and date) that will need to stay the same for each new record. Different users will go into the database for data entry purposes and I want to keep from having them to reneter the same info for each new record. What would be the best way to do this?
