Unanswered: How to apply automatic force of application uses locks on table after 5 minutes?

    Hi,
is there any simple way to set some parameter on DB2 to automaticaly force application which uses locks on tables for some time, e.g. 5 minutes?

I can write a script (get snapshot lock and force application) to do this automaticaly, but I would like to know if something like this already exist on database.

    My system:
    db2 WSE v8.2.2 on Windows 2003

    Thanks,
    Grofaty

    lockwait

you can also wait for agents in lockwait and use locktimeout config parameter to force the lock waiter

    przytula,

I would like to force application that is using the lock not the application that is waiting for a lock - that is what locktimeout does.

Does someone have some good book or web page about DB2 Governor, I have read DB2 Admin Performance book the Governor section and I would like to read more. Not sufficient info to solve my problem.

    Thanks,
    Grofaty
