Unanswered: I get an error when I try to create a new table

Nothing is wrong with my SQL syntax, but I think it might be a problem with my database itself, because I can't write new tables. Instead, I'm getting the following error:
    Can't create / write to file '.\mySQL\meow.frm' (Errcode: 28)
My database is only 58 MB, and I can add new records to databases without a problem, so I don't think the problem has anything to do with exceeding the storage capacity of MySQL. I've searched online and can't find any information on the problem.

    Any suggestions?

what permissions for the db do you have?
error code 28 is anew one on me, is that a language error code rather than a MySQL error code?

what language are you trying to issue this command through

can you create the table using MySQL Administrator, or the command line with the same userid & password combination
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

    did you try perror?

    user@server:~$ perror 28
OS error code 28: No space left on device

My understanding is that errors 1000-1999 are server errors; 2000-2999 are client errors; 0-999 are system errors.
error 13 would be a permission denied (no write access)

try uploading 2 or 3 meg of rows to a table and I bet you'll get the same error. adding 1 row takes virtually no memory unless it's a REALLY MASSIVE row while adding a table takes at least 1k even if it's empty with just 1 column.
