    Hi,

You cannot create a USER within DB2. You can create a USER at the Operating System level only (Windows or Aix etc). After the user is created you can associate that with the db2.

    Thanks,

    Hi,
on Windows XP/2003 (sorry I don't have any older version of Windows):
    1. Start
    2. Settings
    3. Control Panel
    4. Administrative tools
    5. Computer Management

    Computer Management window opens:
    6. System tools
    7. Local Users and Groups
    8. right click on Users folder and New user.

    Follow the wizard.

It should be similar in win2000, but I am sure in NT is different, but I can't remember how. I haven't been using NT for ages...

    Hope this helps,
