    Unanswered: If current db user

What is the actual command and syntax to perform the following:

Determine the current database user's assigned logon name:

So, for instance, if the current user is jdoe...

What is the syntax for that statement?

I think it's If iscurrentuser = "jdoe" or something like that but don't recall the exact keyword and syntax.

I've seen the command somewhere before but can't find it now when performing a search.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can use currentuser() to return the current sugend on user, signed on user as per the workgroup security file.

it isn't neccesarily the actual user, personally I'd reccommend that you do a search on currentuser() and and ashish API call's to understand why.

In brief the APi call goives you the actual network logon of the current user, currentuser gives you the user as signed on to access.
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
