Never had to deal with SE. I client is running out of space on the file system that holds the tables, I deleted about 300,000 records from one of the tables and the file size of the file that is specified in the dirpath of systables did not change a bit. Neither is df -k output
Is there a command I need to issue after I delete rows from a table to reclaim the space?
you will either have to unload, drop, recreate the table and load to recover the space. I think if you alter an index to cluster it will also force the table to be rewritten. Rows are just marked as deleted, not physically rewritten - would be a bit hectic to re-write a million record for one deletion!
