Unanswered: Informix:ODBC Server xxx is not listed as a dbserver name in sqlhosts

I keep getting the connection error:
Test connection was NOT successsful. [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver][Informix]Server ndevse_tcp is not listed as a dbserver name in sqlhosts

    C:\Program Files\IBM\Informix\Client-SDK\etc\sqlhosts contains the line:
    ndevse_tcp sesoctcp ndev sqlexec

On the unix box the line is EXACTLY the same, and
    # dbaccess //ndevse_tcp/database
    works just fine.

I am using IBM Informix SDK 2.90.TC4 on Windows XP SP2

I have checked in the registry all over for any reference to sqlhosts, and they all point to that file. This did work once or twice before, but now it completely won't!.

I have seen the odd reference to this on the net, with no conclusive responses as to what the problem it.

This problem occurs with any of the client connections I try and make, whether to Unix, Linux, Standard Engine or IDS7 or IDS10 .

Incidently, there is an issue with Setnet32 not being able to open the registry on my notebook, but although it says this, the values are still written to the registry.

    Help!

On Windows you need configure yours SQLHOSTS with setnet32 or manually on the register.
My suggest is use the setnet32, for simple test, they is easily
A file sqlhosts don't work on windows... only in register...
