    Red face Unanswered: mysql/ how do i create a table

    hi
    i have a compelately blank canverse.

    i have no idea where to start
    i no what i want but i canno work it out..

    i am looking for a table that has

    topic / views / replise / last poasted /

    its the same as most forums i have been on

    I would suggest you pick up a good book on the SQL language for a start. What you need is the create command. Take a look at the following site :

    I suppose you have already connected to the mysql command interface using the mysql command.

    When you install MySQL there should be a utility called mysql. This can be called from the command line.

    Enter the commands :

    mysql -u root -p

    and give the password of your root user. That password should have been set by you during the installation. In the environment you can enter SQL commands.
