    Unanswered: USER Temp tablespace

    OS AIX/windows

    I need to increase the size of user temporary tablespace . it is created by SMS. How do i do that . Do i have to drop it and recreate it?

    or is there any other way to do that.

    SMS tablespaces don't have a size and are only limited by the amount of free space at any given moment on the directory or mount point they reside on. You can create a new temporary tablespace on another directory that has more free space, and then drop the original, and then rename the new one to the original name.
