    Unanswered: Update query won't work (overflow)

    Hi all,

    I have an Access App and i want to run some queries from it to a MySQL database.
    One of those gives an Error. -> Error 6: Overflow

    But it doensn't make sense to me because the query works fine in the MySQL Query Browser. But when it get's called from VBA in Access it stucks.

    Here is the query:
    UPDATE order LEFT JOIN order_av ON order.order_nr = order_av.order_nr
    SET kweekgewicht = IIF(av_aant>0,av_aant*2.5,v_aant*2.5)
    WHERE IIF(av_aant>0,t_gewicht/av_aant,t_gewicht/v_aant) = 2
    AND d_datum >= #2006-07-14#
    I hope someone can help me with this, i hope it is enough infomation like this.
    I have also tried to put this code in a Access Query but it also gives an overflow (like when called from VBA)

    Thanx in advance!

    Ok ... When dealing with overflows, look immediately to the TYPE of the column involved ... So, what is the type for the kweekgewicht column??? Integer? What types are you performs your calculations on before assigning to this column?
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
