    Unanswered: Use Field Values in HTML Links

    Hi,

    Hopefully I won't get flamed too hard for this post - it seems pretty simple, but I've searched and searched and can't find an answer.

    I am trying to figure out the best way, either in a query or in the main table of my db, to return field values as part of an HTML link.

    For example. If I wanted to add a link to do a Google Search for the terms in a certain field, SearchTerms, in language Lang how would I go about creating the link in access that would link to

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=[Lang]&q=[SearchTerms]

    I guess I'm really living up to the nickname I chose joining this site, but I've finally given up on trying - I can't even find close to relevant search results on this.

    Thanks In Advance for any Help

    Well you could do something as simple as creating a query similar to the one below.

    Code:
    SELECT tblhtml.Lang, tblhtml.Searchterms, "http://www.google.com/search?hl=" & [Lang] & "&q=" & [Searchterms] AS Link
    FROM tblhtml
    GROUP BY tblhtml.Lang, tblhtml.Searchterms, "http://www.google.com/search?hl=" & [Lang] & "&q=" & [Searchterms];
    Where basically you are just querying the original table and making a 3rd column using Columnname:"http://www.google.com/search?hl=" & [Lang] & "&q=" & [Searchterms] as the field name value.
