    Unanswered: Number of records

i am trying to tally the number of records i have in a table and then display that number on a form

i used a text box in the form and set the control field to
    Code:
    =Count([Parts Database])
however when i open the form it displays #error

it looks like it should work and that is exactly how it says it should be in access

can someone shine some light on this problem.?

    Hi

You can get the number of records as
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM MyTable

    Or DCount("MyPkFieldName", "MyTable")

    =Count([Parts Database])
should work if your form is bound to your table, Parts Database is a field in that table and the textbox is in the form header or footer.
