    Red face Unanswered: Deleting wrongly created container.

    After 2 day staring of my telnet screen, my eyes getting tired

    and i add container to wrong tablesapace.

    i have add

    db2 "alter tablespace PSAPEL46CD add (file '/db2/D01/sapdata1/NODE0000/PSAPES700D.container000' 512000 )"

    it's a stupid action.. now i can't delete the container.

    Anyone could give me some suggestion and solution ?

    Unless you provide the db2 version and FixPak information, you will not be able to get the right answer

    Db2 distributes existing data among all containers when a new container is added. No easy way to drop a container; if you want to recover disk space, try resizing the containers to a smaller value; this will definitely work if you REORG the tablespace.

    Easiest way to drop a container is to do a REDIRECTED restore of the tablespace(or the database)

    hi my db2level is
    DB21085I Instance "db2p01" uses "64" bits and DB2 code release "SQL08023" with
    level identifier "03040106".
    Informational tokens are "DB2 v8.1.1.96", "s050811", "U803920", and FixPak
    "10".
    Product is installed at "/usr/opt/db2_08_01".

    anyway .. i manage to delet it.. the reason it refuse to delet at the first time.. because the disk on rebalancing mode,
