Unanswered: ALT+ENTER replaced with <% Response.Write Replace(rsx("Text"), vbCrLf, "<br>")%>????

My problem is, is that when ever the customer inputs thier info with a <ENTER> or vbCrLf it causes the data to shift to a new cell row. Yet if I don't do the ....
It all remains in one cell.
<% Response.Write Replace(rsx("Text"), vbCrLf, "<br>")%>

any combonation of the above doesn't work
