    Unanswered: Need to Move Database...

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to move an existing Database from one DB2 server to another. We are using DB2 8.1.
    I need to move the database along with the tables,constraints,data and indexes and tablespace that have been created.

    Please let me know if there is any wy to do this.

    db2look to move the DDL, procedures, triggers, UDF's, etc.
    db2move to move the data.

    Both utilities are described in the Command Reference manual.

    suppose if you want to move DB from sever A to server B
    Create a blank Db on server B
    Take a back up of A and copy the image to B .(Make sure to keep the directory structure same )
    Now restore the image on Blank DB at B.

    If the directory structure of the tablespaces is not same, use redirected restore ..
