Question Unanswered: Eliminate Read Only Error

I use a exicutable that distributes the various front ends to my database and when it does it changes the file property to read only. I have other files that are kept up to date with the same application and wish to keep this propery. But when my users open the database they get the read only message. Does anyone know how I can turn this off????

It is not in connection with your MDB, but
you have to permit all privilege for the users
    on this directory.

what if you don't want to give all users permissions. Just want the message to go away?

Usually to do that, I control the user's abilities via their login.

Would be nice to know how to suppress that message though
