    why isn't result valid?

    You could do - select 'YellowPage' firstName, 'steel wool' lastname

    if that is what you want howver the code you posted from the mapping you posted returned a correct result.

    Please provide the text book and page number that your instructor is asking this question from.

    I know a way to do it with two separate queries and cursors. I do not think that is what you need though.

    For those having trouble reading the text, double-click on it and maximize.

    As for why it is not valid, he (or she) is hoping to get a comma separated list of the lnames that have the matching first name, rather than one per row.

    The other question is valid though, what class is this for?
