I want my database administrator to be able to add to and delete from a combo box. The combo box is based on a table with two fields, an autonumber ID field and a text field called CourseName. I have created an editable combo box using the Not in list feature on a form that has 3 buttons plus the combo box: a delete button (I have attached some code to a command button that allows an item in the list to be deleted and to requery the list), a save button which the users wanted that saves the form, and a third button to return to the Main Menu (the switchboard). My problem is, if the user leaves the combo box display lin blank when they exit, the table gets a blank record and the combo box displays the autonumber of the blank record. Can someone tell me how to stop a record being made when the user exits with a blank display box?
