Question Unanswered: Access , permission error

    hi,
i have an access file. When i click it , it gives an error
-> "You do not have necessary permission to use "C:\myfile.mdb" object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object established the
    appropriate permission for you"
The issue is , i don't know the person who created this file and i only want to view the content of file. (just a select query )
    Is there any workaround _?

sounds like a network issue versus an access issue...

It sounds like Access Workgroup security has been implemented on the db. There is most likely an mdw file that goes with your mdb file.

    Permissions

Right-Click on the file, Select Properties, Select Security tab. You or your name should be in a group which has permissions on this file. Click Add (if you are able to) and add yourself. Select Allow for everything.
