Unanswered: Cannot create database using dbca or manual

    Hi all,

I'm having problem in the creation of my database. I tried to use the dbca but it rolled back. error "ora-12560". I think the problem is on the listener. These are the things i've done.

    1. install the oracle software but no creation of database yet, and no netca.
    2. configure the oracle listener (server side) and tnsnames.ora.
    3. create database using dbca or manual script. I cannot continue the creation of database because the $sqlplus is asking for user name and password. I inputted sysdba and manager as password.

The listener is up and running. the $ORACLE_SID= orasvr1, ORACLE_HOME=d:\oracle\ora92.

Where do you think is the problem?

Do you have the SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=(NTS) parameter set in the sqlnet.ora file? If so, comment out this parameter.
